Delivery Confirmation is part of a multi-faceted upgrade of services offered by the United States Postal Service. The USPS will now offer convenient and cost effective proof of delivery for flats and parcels sent via Standard Mail (B) and Priority Mail service. There are no minimum volume requirements. Industry analysts predict that 70% of mailers will increase their use of Priority Mail due to Delivery Confirmation. USPS work sharing incentives can be substantial for mailers or shippers sending either flats or parcels.

In the Stealth Postage Indicia (also known as Postage-Paid Indicia), the postage amount is replaced by a key-line that includes the weight, mail class, and rate zone of the package. USPS mail handlers use this key-line, special online tools, and printed receipts to validate the postage on packages.
